The
Lord’s Prayer
The next prayer in the rosary—Our Father or the Pater Noster (from
its opening words in Latin), also known as the Lord’s Prayer—is even
more acceptable to Protestants because Jesus himself taught it to his
disciples. It is given in the Bible in two slightly different versions
(Matt. 6:9-13; Luke 11:2-4). The one given in Matthew is the one we say.
(We won’t reproduce it here. All Christians should have it memorized.)

St. Michael the Archangel
St.
Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our safeguard against the
wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray.
And do you, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God, cast
into Hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world
seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
